Conor Overstake, an Account Executive at The Murphy Insurance Group, recently was interviewed by Channel 3000 regarding bin Laden’s death, where he said the mission to kill bin Laden stirred a great sense of pride and relief for men and women in uniform.
Conor made the decision to join the United States Marine Corps in September of 2001 after the tragedy of 9/11. He has told us, “It was a very poignant time in our history, and in the beginning, it was about bin Laden. But at the end of the day, it’s about our way of life, protecting our freedom and our individualism. I think that’s what really resonated with me, and I kind of held onto that.”
After spending approximately nine years on active duty flying helicopters and serving multiple combat tours, he decided to move to Wisconsin from Hawaii in November of 2010 to join The Murphy Insurance Group.
As an Account Executive in the Commercial Lines department, Conor has a focus on providing commercial insurance to businesses in the Technology and Biotechnology sectors. He focuses on professional liability, product liability, and errors and omission insurance.
