OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety

Risk Management Department is pleased to offer an additional 20
hour course in construction safety &health as authorized by
the OSHA Outreach Training Program to be able to take the
additional 20 hours in orderto get the 30 hour card. In order
to qualify, the attendee must have completed a 10 hour class
taught by TheMurphy Insurance Group Risk Management in the last
6 months or the 10 hour class must be repeated.
The 10 hour class is geared toward taking precautions against
the common exposures for the majority of theemployers present.
The additional 20 hours get into more regulations as opposed to
exposures and also coversa more broad range of safety topics.
The 30 hour class is geared toward the supervisory
staff.
Participants should bring a copy of the 1926 CFR (OSHA
construction regulations) if you requested it during the10 hour
class, or should request a free copy of the book as they will
be used during this class. Please bring alonga notebook and
something to write with.
The 30 hour class is geared toward foreman, field supervisors
and anyone who is in charge of overseeing thesafety of the
crews. Several larger commercial contractors have begun to
require at least one person from yourcrew have the 30 hour card
before beginning work on their sites. Don’t wait to get the
training until you are upagainst the clock for one of these
projects.
